The Yuletide season is a welcoming back of the light. This is literally, as the days grow longer, and symbolically by a renewal of spirit and connection to family, friend, community and nature. It is a new beginning. It is a letting go of what has past. Below is what is common to see and smell in homes at this time of year.

(Elders of the city do not believe in chopping trees for this season and will only use live trees that are replanted once more after the holiday.)
